Ronaldo will take part in the film which tells the story of the Palestinian girl who hopes to meet with Brazilian striker but was killed in a landmine explosion in south Lebanon before it can fulfill his desire, his club said Sunday.
"Ronaldo said he had expressed approval of the director of Iran to make a movie in the Palestinian territories," said a spokesman for the media in Corinthians, told Reuters.
The player who had three times as FIFA's Player of the Year will appear in the making of the film when the Corinthians team visited the Middle East to do a friendly match in the "Peace Action" against the Brazilian team Flamengo on land Palestinians on 15 September.
Corinthians gave permission to Ronaldo, World Cup winner with Brazil in 2002, to stay some time after the friendly match, to take pictures in the making of the film.
The movie is based on the true story, about a girl who loved football and Ronaldo so idolized. He died after losing his leg when walking on land that has been planted with landmines.
Ronaldo, a former player of AC Milan, Inter Milan, Real Madrid, Barcelona and PSV Eindhoven have never visited the land of Israel and Palestine in 2005. As UN ambassador, he visited the camps the children can not afford in the area of Ramallah in the West Bank and Tel Aviv.
Film, produced figures in Iran, Mohammad Latif Mansur Sohrabpour and will were photographed with locations in Lebanon.
Ronaldo still has not played for Brazil since the World Cup. He joined again with the Corinthians this year after recovering from a serious leg injury when playing with AC Milan last year.
