Whelan admits Wigan may sell Hugo Rodallega

Dave Whelan has told Soccernet that Wigan may be forced to sell Hugo Rodallega this summer and he will not stand in the striker's way should a bigger club make a formal offer.
Whelan admits that for a club like Wigan to survive, he must authorise the sale of one of the team's best players and he has rejected a bid from Birmingham for Charles N'Zogbia, while there have been enquires for Rodallega from one of the Premier League's elite.

Injured Rossi sets return date

Valentino Rossi hopes to return to the racetrack at the Czech Grand Prix in August, the injured MotoGP champion said in a Yamaha statement.
The 31-year-old Italian (pictured) added that he was happy with the pace of his recovery after breaking a leg at his home grand prix three weeks ago.
"I am walking with crutches and since a few days I've been able to put my foot to the floor," he said.

Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel won the European Grand Prix on Sunday while McLaren's Lewis Hamilton doubled his championship lead by finishing runner-up for the third year in a row.

Mike Tyson : the first heavyweight boxer

Michael Gerard "Mike" Tyson (born June 30, 1966) is a retired American boxer. Tyson was the undisputed heavyweight champion and holds the record as the youngest boxer, to win the WBC, WBA and IBF world heavyweight titles. He won the WBC title when he was 20 years, 4 months and 22 days old, after defeating Trevor Berbick by a TKO in the second round. Throughout his career, Tyson became well-known for his ferocious and intimidating boxing style as well as his controversial behavior both inside and outside the ring.
He was the first heavyweight boxer to hold the WBA, WBC and IBF titles simultaneously. Tyson is considered to have been one of the greatest heavyweight boxers of all time.

Cristiano Ronaldo : His Second Name

Cristiano Ronaldo was born in Funchal, Madeira, Portugal to his mother Maria Dolores dos Santos Aveiro and his father José Dinis Aveiro. He grew up with a brother, Hugo, and two sisters, Elma and Katia. His second name ("Ronaldo") is relatively rare in Portugal. His parents named him after former US president Ronald Reagan because he was his father's favourite actor, and not for political reasons.

With Wayne Rooney likely to be sidelined by a knee injury incurred on England duty last week, United boss Alex Ferguson is set to place his trust in Berbatov as the English champions attempt to defend a 3-2 first-leg advantage in their Champions League last 16 clash with AC Milan.

Players 'detached from reality', fumes Joey Barton

Newcastle midfielder Joey Barton claims the decadent lifestyles of many players puts them out of touch with reality.
Barton's own discipline problems have seen him jailed but he told Radio 4's Today programme that gave him a sense of perspective other players lack.
"A lot of them are so detached from reality it's untrue and there was a stage when I was like that," he said.
"It's only the fact I'm grounded by the trouble I've been in that's forced me away from being in the football world."
Barton also said the huge amounts of money players were paid added to their sense of isolation from the world that normal fans live in.

Crisano supports Pacquiao in Dallas

Popular PBA player Alex Crisano is flying to Dallas, Texas on Tuesday to watch his idol, pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao defend his welterweight title against Joshua Clottey. He also hopes to have the honor to be part of the People’s Champ entourage.
Crisano, whose contract with Barako Bulls has already expired, recently received an offer from the Amateur Boxing Association of the Philippines (ABAP) to be part of the team as a heavyweight fighter. Crisano is thankful for the invitation but wants to play basketball for a few more years.

The six-foot-seven basketball star had some boxing training in Brooklyn, New York in his teens. Last Tuesday, March 2, 34-year old Crisano showed the national team coaches and several sportswriters his boxing moves when he visited the ABAP training center in the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex.Contrary to earlier reports, neither Crisano nor PR man/sportswriter Robbie Pangilinan received a call from

“I want to play for a team that needs my talent and skills, my strength and heart,” Crisano says.

“I think watching Pacquiao will motivate me more, probably help me decide about joining the RP boxing team?” Crisano says.

Everything fits perfectly, he coordinated everything without being too matchy and he's got excellent accessories from the slim shoes to the gold cuff-links to what appears to be a jacket fully lined with red silk. Magnificent. He might be one of the 10 best dressers in the NBA already. Thumbs up to you, sir.
